Have you ever heard of Thai Muang? It is a small coastal town between Khao Lak and Phuket, which boasts beautiful beaches, waterfalls, and parks. However, not many people know about this, so it not commonly visited as other more famous places.

If you have never been there, we recommend that you add it to your bucket list now. From the moment you arrive in Thai Muang, to the moment you leave, there won’t be one single moment you will not enjoy.

If you are a biker (or just know how to ride one), then that’s even better! Thai Muang boasts an excellent place to go biking. In this article, you’ll learn about how you can enjoy every bit of Thai Muang through a mountain biking tour.

When going out to bike, you should find a mountain biking tour. That way, not only will you get to enjoy the best the area has to offer, but you also eliminate the need to plan the day out by yourself.

Here’s what your day should look like:

Preparing for the Tour

Before you go out for the ride, make sure that you have all the necessities packed into a small bag. If you’re planning to swim, bring swimwear and a towel. Because Thailand is quite hot at times, it won’t hurt to carry with you some sunscreen or wear long pants and a shirt to protect you. Of course, don’t forget to wear shoes, as you don’t want to be cycling for many kilometers on a pair of sandals alone. Most importantly, don’t forget to bring a bottle of water.

The Sarasin Bridge

To start the tour, you’re going to find yourself riding over the Sarasin Bridge beginning in Phuket. The bridge connects Phuket to the mainland. After crossing the bridge, you’ll continue a bit further until you reach the countryside roads, which has little to no traffic, perfect for peaceful biking experience. After half an hour of riding your bike, you’ll finally reach Thai Muang.

Exploring Thai Muang

After stopping by for lunch and having a break, you’ll head off to visit the Thai Muang Turtle Sanctuary, which features plenty of cute turtles, perfect if you’re an animal lover.

When that’s done, you’ll start making your way to a waterfall that’s approximately 15 kilometers away. If you don’t bike very often, this stretch might be a little tiring, as there are hills in the area. However, there aren’t many, so you don’t have to worry about being too tired to make it. Plus, the fact that you’re going to visit a waterfall should be motivating enough to keep you going.

Enjoying the Waterfall

Upon reaching the waterfall, you now have the chance to cool down. Dip into the fresh waters and relax, enjoying the time of your life. Be at peace, knowing that from here on out, you don’t have to continue cycling. That’s because there will be vehicles driving the same route that offer you a ride when you get too tired.

We hope you have a great time biking along the Andaman Sea, taking in the beautiful sceneries of nature. Remember to take plenty of photos and rest often. Only that way can you truly enjoy the wonders of Thai Muang. Good luck, and enjoy your ride!
